Personal Development
Coaching
Zuri can provide personal development coaching in
the areas of management and leadership, strategic human recources, change
management, human resource management, strategy, learning and development,
process and business analysis an knowledge management. We use the principles
of Situational Leadership® II. The development level of an individual
on specific competencies and tasks is assessed based on their current
level of competence and commitment. This is then matched with the appropriate
leadership style to provide an appropriate level of direction and support,
which may be delivered through the consultant or which may be provided
through internal coaches or a combination of both.
Training in the use of Situational Leadership® II can be provided
through Blanchard International Group New Zealand Limited.
Mentoring
Mentoring focuses more on long term development and career management
and generally looks at competencies that respond more to experiential
development. Generally some long term personal objectives will be set
and the sessions take the form of exploring the experiences, relationships
and actions that can move the individual towards achieving these goals.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)
We use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® instrument to help individuals
explore their innate personal preferences for how they:
- relate to the world around them
- like to receive and process information
- make decisions
- structure their world.
In understanding their own preferences individuals are also encouraged
to consider how their preferences may differ from those around them
and thus impact on their ability to relate to others. In working with
managers we would also discuss what this means in terms of how we need
to tailor our conversations, reflect on our decisions and structure
our work environment.
Emotions and Behaviours at Work® (EBW®) Profile
Research indicates that emotional intelligences is a better predictor
of success than IQ. EBW® is a tool that helps individuals explore
the various aspects that contribute to emotional intelligence. This
includes looking at personal traits that assess the ability to manage
self, such as self awareness and resilience, and traits that govern
our success in relating to others, such as influence and empathy.
In understanding themselves, individuals are also encouraged to consider
how their ability to manage themselves and relate to others impacts
on their relationships and ability to inspire and influence others.
A Values inventory (AVI®)
The AVI® is a tool that helps individuals explore their personal
priorities and underlying values systems and examines how these impact
on their personal view of the world. In understanding their own world
view, individuals are also encouraged to think about how these may differ
from those around them and what this means in terms of how they need
to communicate, lead and interact with others.
