NZATD Wellington Branch
Diane Edwards has recently taken on the role of Wellington Branch President of NZATD and is committed to ensuring that the branch is able to provide an exciting year of events and other services to its members in 2011. Dates have now been finalised for our next Lominger courses in 2011. Zuri, in conjunction with Lominger Associate Andrew Williams is now taking registrations for its Lominger courses 2011. Courses offered in July 2011 include LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT©, CHOICES ARCHITECT©, VOICES ARCHITECT© and INTERVIEW ARCHITECT©.

Diane wins HRINZ HR Specialist of the Year Award 2010 - 11
On 27 November 2009 Diane Edwards was awarded the HRINZ HR Specialist of the Year Award (Wellington Region) for her work in the the areas of Change Management, Organisational Development and Facilitation across a wide range of industries. When presenting the award, the judges commented on her ability to understand and provide for the language and culture of the organisation and noted the unconditional support of her referrees for her expertise. Diane received her award at a champagne breakfast hosted by HRINZ's Wellington Branch.
As a regional finalist Diane went forward to the national awards, where she took out the top award in the HR Specialist category in February 2010. At this black tie event at one of Wellington's top hotels, the judges again commented on the absolute support and respect of her referees and her achievement of international recognition. In her acceptance speech Diane praised the volunteers of the Citizens Advice Bureau for their willingness to embrace a new working paradigm for the good of the local communities of New Zealand, and thanked her HR peers for the honour of recognition in a highly competitive environment.

Conference Speaking Engagements in 2010
ANSIC
Diane Edwards had a number of public speaking engagement this year. First off the block was the ANZIC conference held in Melbourne at the end of April. ANZIC (the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Coaching) is the leading professional coaching association in Australiasia, providing support, supervision and professional development to members of the Coaching Community. Diane discussed what it takes to build a coaching culture within large organisations, and how it requires more than just teaching people how to coach. HRINZ
Diane also spoke at the HRINZ 9 to 9 Conference in Auckland in May. Headlined by keynote speaker Dr Edward De Bono, the conference focussed on the human resource issues arising from the recession. Diane's session looked at the impact of the recession on the not-for-profit sector. To see other up and coming conferences hosted by HRINZ visit their website.
Then in October Diane teamed up with Claire Teal, Manager of Central City Citizens Advice Bureau to present at the HRINZ Wellington Branch Change Special Interest Group. They spoke about their experiences bringing change to a volunteer worksforce at both the national and local level.
NZATD
Also in May, Diane faciitated a well received session at the NZATD conference in Auckland. Combining her interest in learning and futurism Diane challenged people to project out 25 - 30 years to think about how current socoi-economic and political trends combined with knowledge of emerging scientific and technological developments might change the nature of learning and development. Later in the year Diane was asked to reprise her session at the Wellington Branch AGM, so that others could participate.

NZAPT/AUSAPT
In September Diane was in Melbourne, speaking at the AUSAPT (Australian Association of Pyschological Type) conference. Her session "I have a dream! Why don't you share it? explored the psychology of change and how personality type impacts on how change is perceived and received. For more information about AUSAPT check out their website.
On October 13th 2010 Diane discussed other highlights of the conference with the NZAPT Wellington Regional Interest Group. This was held at the NZCER Offices in Willis Street. Everyone interested in Type is invited to join this network. Contact Diane for more details via this website.

NZATD 2010 Education Trust Awards
Zuri was a proud sponsor for the 2010 NZATD Education Trust Awards. The awards were established to recognise excellence in the field of learning and development. Recognising the importance of learning about learning, Zuri chose to sponsor the award for Learning and Development Research and was delighted that this year's winner in this category, Murray Simons, was able to present some rigorus research on leadership development that both inspires and challenges.
